This Tool App accepts equirectangular JPEGs with a 2:1 ratio. PNG and TIFF files are rejected because the repair workflow keeps the original JPEG and adds its metadata block without re-encoding.
No. The source JPEG is preserved and an XMP segment is added after its SOI marker. The displayed image therefore remains visually identical.
No. Processing and result generation happen in your browser. Any quota calls do not transmit image data.
No choice is needed: the tool applies the standard mono profile, checks the 2:1 ratio and adds Photo Sphere metadata for Google Street View and standard 360° photos.
