Frequently asked questions

What is an equirectangular panorama? expand_more

It is a 360° image in a 2:1 format, twice as wide as it is tall. It contains the whole scene in one image, like those used for virtual tours or 3D renders.

Why convert to cube faces? expand_more

Cube faces are easier to retouch than a complete panorama because they are not distorted. You can correct an area in your photo editor, then reuse the six faces in your project.

Are my images sent to a server? expand_more

No. Splitting happens directly in your browser. Your files are not sent to our servers during the operation.

Which formats are supported? expand_more

You can import the most common image formats. For a correct result, the image must be a 360° panorama in a 2:1 format.

Which face size should I choose? expand_more

Face size adapts automatically to your panorama resolution for the best possible quality without manual adjustment.

Does splitting change image quality? expand_more

The image is recalculated to create the six faces. Choose a suitable output format if you want a result close to the original.

Can I process multiple panoramas at once? expand_more

Yes. Add several panoramas, choose your settings and retrieve the results when they are ready.

What does the ZIP file contain? expand_more

The ZIP contains the six generated faces for each panorama. Files are named so you can easily identify the front, back, left, right, top and bottom faces.

Do I need an account? expand_more

No. You can use the tool directly, without an account, for free and without limits.

Is panorama-to-cube conversion free?expand_more

Yes, this tool is completely free and requires no sign-up. There is no Pro quota for this conversion.
